Pretty short story. A bunch of Americans have hearing loss and the number's only going to get higher. Smoking's one of the things blamed. But then so is being white, lack of higher education, crap like that.

Father: Son, do your homework.

Son: But why Dad, I hate doing homework.

Father: Because if you don't do your homework you'll go deaf...AND PUT OUT THAT CIGARETTE!!!

Honestly, I don't remember hearing this one before. (<--pun in there I think). Going blind, yes, but not deaf.
