Armstrong, White House contenders discuss smoke-free US
WASHINGTON (AFP) - Seven-time Tour de France winner and anti-cancer advocate Lance Armstrong said Thursday he has discussed banning smoking in public places across the United States with the three White House contenders. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20080508/hl_afp/useuropetob..._7xtAo99c8r7arys0NUE man I hate this meddeling do as I say anti-freak maybe he should take up biking again will give him something to do instead of meddeling in other peoples life choices -------------------------- can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen --------------------------- If you're fed-up with government intrusion into our private lives (alcohol, tobacco, weight or so-called obesity, etc.) especially the nonsense and destruction surrounding smoking bans, then discuss/fight smoking bans at the FORCES tavern or go directly to their FORCES homepage. A UK-based group (forcing a Judicial Review of the English smoking ban) is Freedom to Choose, with another great forum for chatting and organizing here. |

"We know what works in terms of cancer prevention -- targeting tobacco, sun, diet and exercise."
I saw this nutless wonder on tv today. He sure had a nice tan. "I don't like to sit next to someone who's smoking in a restaurant -- I raced for 15 years in Europe and I've been around enough cigarette smoke to last me a lifetime." Gee, what a great reason to ban something. Personally, I dislike bicycle riders. Where do I go to get them banned? |

Two things: when Armstrong peddled around Europe all vehicle traffic was banned from the roads. Two, as the people in the undeveloped world give up their bicycles and started driving cars they could at least ship their discarded bicycles over here for those of us who can no afford cars.
I have always wondered who payed for this man's treatment? |

Bruce,
YOU paid for his bicycle-caused cancer. (It depends on exactly when he was neutered. He recently stated he's been cancer-free for 11 years. That would put his cancer around 1996 or 1997.) How did you pay for it? "The US Postal Service (USPS) is reported by Advertising Age to be "poised to abandon its lead sponsorship of Lance Armstrong and the U.S. Pro Cycling Team" when their contract expires in December. The Postal Service began the estimated $10 million-a-year marketing initiative in 1996 and Armstrong has since led the international cycling team to five consecutive Tour de France victories." |

Gosh, you can't even mail a freaking letter without the proceeds going into an antis hands.
They got this all sewed-up, don't they? |
