The only place I see Gabby anymore is at Freerepublic.

Gabz posts over at Free Republic mostly, as 383rr stated. She'll pop in over at Siegel's too.

FORCES tavern is an open site now, please check it out and post as much as possible. More people are seeing the site now and more activity is needed to get it hopping.

I have tried and failed many times to register at Forces Tavern even after contacting management and working with them to fix the problem.

I have a similiar problem with The Smokers Club International.

The problem is I have DSL service, but do NOT use the eMail Account that comes with it. Verifying my identity fails thru the ISP.

I can get to the Smokers Club only using dialup connections and it takes forever to load all the graphics repeatedly. I spend all my allocated time waiting. After my allocated time has been used, limit set by me, I move on.

This has been fixed at various times at the Smokers Club, but after each invasion their settings are reset and I am stuck again.

Lack of activity on any of the sites, including this one along with trying to earn enough to pay the bills forces me to spend my time doing more productive things with my time.

I've seen Gabz on Siegel's Blog.

I haven't visited forces tavern in quite awhile. I try to at least look at the news on forces every day.

I signed up at FORCES Tavern some time ago (it was a bitch getting registered), but to be honest I think I've only visited it twice since then. I'll try to make an effort to get over there. (Geez do I sound lazy.)

Speaking of Smokers Club (Bruce), for some reason I no longer get their newsletter. I went to their website several times trying to sign back up, but never found the right page to do it.

If you think you get better visibility over at FORCES Tavern, then should we consider closing this site down?

I don't think we need to close this site down Frank..

there are still people who visit..that can't get on forces.

P.S. I mentioned yesterday that for some reason I wasn't getting the Smoker's Club newsletter anymore. Well, today one showed up in my email. I wish I had been complaining about not having a Ferrari.

This site is much easier to navigate than the 'Tavern' and not as difficult to post on.

No, please don't close this site, this is one of the first sites I stumbled upon 2 years ago when I first started looking into all of this.

All the sites are important...the more the merrier.

I also don't want the anti's to think they were responsible at shutting this site down and chasing away posters

My apologies, Frank. I like to use both boards, also. I should have PM'd the folks I wanted to invite. It was poor judgement on my part (and I only did so on my own behalf, btw).

This is the first board I found, too.

Reading my initial post back, it seems a bit rude considering the effort put in to maintain this site. It's a bit like walking into a pizza shop and telling everyone that everyone's at the other pizza shop across the street.

My intent was to broaden the venues for frequent posters, not to exclude Speakeasy over FORCES Tavern. I took my off the ball in doing so, so again my apologies.

I love this site Frank. I regularly cruise forces, smokinglobby, smokersclub and here! There may be some redundancy, but there's almost always something different at each site. Keep up the good work!

Well, I'll try as long as I can. But as most of you all know, all the support for this comes out of my pocket, as it did for Wanda and Martha for years.

And for the antis, yes, that is MY pocket. I don't get one thin dime from big tobacco.

I'm just glad to see you all having interest and great discussions.

How about an annual fundraiser?

How much is needed per year to operate the site? A fundraiser sounds good to me, although please bear in mind I'm retired, so wouldn't be able to contribute much, but would send something.

I get a lot of information from this site. So, count me in "small", but in.

Thank ye for your offers, but I'm good for now. Next year I'll be moving and looking for a new career, so may be a little harder. But I'm good for now.
