I just read with interest your comments on 'time to regulate tobacco' online-a friend sent me the link. I want to tell you something. I'm a resident of Ohio (unfortunately), and I voted against quite a few 'republicans' here in November, turning over control to the dems. But the reason I did this was not because I had faith in you-but rather because I had lost faith with the RHINOs I had to put up with for about the last eight-nine years (RHINO="Republican? Ha! In Name Only!"). I figured nobody could possibly be any worse than "bob" taft,' Sweaty 'Betty Montgomery, and Mike DeWhiner. I wanted to stop their feeding at the public trough, and I did.

Now-I had felt the dems MIGHT be a bit better-thinking you SURELY could be no worse-but apparently, I was wrong. You promised great things-like doing something about soaring gas prices, restoring faith in government, helping the average person and being small-business friendly for a change. Now I see what you REALLY intend to do. Please....YOU WERE NOT ELECTED TO PICK UP WHERE YOU LEFT OFF IN 1994!!! NO ONE CARES about this crap, other than a minority of Nazi-like rabid smoker-haters, who apparently have a lot of members in your national party. THew smoker-hating lobby is GETTING SWIFTLY to the point of BEING PSYCHOTIC!

STOP worrying about worthless crap like this, which is designed to make it look like you're doing something when you're not. Smokers are an easy target these days, I realize, but again-THIS WAS NOT WHY YOU WERE ELECTED! DO something about something IMPORTANT, like lowering GAS PRICES or SEALING OUR BORDERS! Otherwise, I intend to do everything I possibly can through volunteerwork to get as many of you voted out of office when you're up for re-election. And MANY in the U.S. feel the same way I do, so ignore us at your peril. With the problems this country has, THIS HAS BECOME A NON-ISSUE.
