Personally, I see nothing wrong with dealing with pot in the same way as tobacco and alcohol and I've been saying that for years, in fact I have contacted legislators when asked to do just that, not because I use it, just because that is my belief. I don't do such advocating any longer as I have found that some of the most die-hard anti tobacco smokers are major proponents of the legalization of marijuana, but unlike them I don't publicly stand against them as they stand against us.

The primary reason I posted that is that from all I hear, smoking pot is as bad as cigs. Vermont wants to take cigs, burn smokers at the stake, then legalize pot?
I have a problem with the logic. I don't have a problem with legalizing it. I have the problem with fact that smokers are 4th class citizens but the want ban tobacco now want to legalize another product shown to be unhealthy.
Please excuse my second post, my typing is not great.
What I mean is I have the problem with the fact that smokers are treated like 4th class citizens but the people banning tobacco want to legalize another product that is shown to be unhealthy.
Most people who use pot use it casually and dont turn to hard-drugs afterwards, contrary to what most people say. I'm sure more people die/have died of driving than of smoking pot every year.
