Why are they consumed with cigarettes when they are drugging these children?

Now this article really explains exactly what we are headed for, and drinking waters have already been found to be tainted with prescription drugs. Some of these very same people crying over passive smoke are undoubtedly on some of these prescription drugs being forced upon us with no say whatsoever. I explicitly resent this when I have to sit and listen to a bunch of screaming idiots cry over passive smoke from smoking outside ( science can't even prove their claims), and yet where is the rage and hysteria at over these other issues.

If these trends continue many will not have to fight an anti-tobacco war, because death will result at the rates we are moving at right now. Those that are raging about smoking even in public may not have to suffer forever if this trend continues. The so called damage that smokers are doing in so very tiny in comparison of what is happening over prescription drugs alone.

I was recently in a restaurant where I watched a women take out a large bag of prescription drugs, and she had the nerve to give me a dirty look when I started smoking a cigarette after eating. She was pathetic in her search for her drugs!!!

Many of these anti-tobacco activists need to clean up thier own acts before they cry over cigarette smokers. I don't want to poisoned by prescription drugs being found in our water supply, but who is crying over it? I hope this country starts to wake up from their drugged induced fog before it's really too late. The truth is tobacco is honestly one of the least of our worries.

There are literally dozens of prescription drugs on the market right now that can cause sudden bursts of violence at the drop of a pin. Cigarettes take decades to kill!

Why in the hell would I want to live to be way too old anyways in the current state of affairs? All they would do with me if I could not care for myself is lock me away in a nursing home and drug me out of my mind at an extraordinary expense to the taxpayers. The average person has no idea how miserable some of these old people are living forever on drugs. They extend life for profit in many cases.

I worked in an acute facility once when I was in my 20's where I had to watch people die horrible deaths from being drugged constantly to keep them alive. One woman had all of her skin literally fall off before she finally died. She would scream hysterically when the drug wore off, and they would pump her full of more drugs. She would beg to die, and they would not let her. It happens everyday behind the closed doors.

No, lets not take care of real issues! Lets go after tobacco smokers, and play like we care for them when all we want is to addict them to drugs they will likely never get off of. It will save the children from smoking, but don't tell anyone that we are pumping them full of drugs too.

If you're fed-up with government intrusion into our private lives (alcohol, tobacco, weight or so-called obesity, etc.) especially the nonsense and destruction surrounding smoking bans, then discuss/fight smoking bans at the FORCES tavern or go directly to their FORCES homepage. A UK-based group (forcing a Judicial Review of the English smoking ban) is Freedom to Choose, with another great forum for chatting and organizing here.

You might also like to know that tobacco settlement funds are used to pay for state prescription drug programs for senior citizens. The logic here is that tobacco companies are paying for illness caused amongst the elderly, however these payments benefit non-smoking seniors by a ratio of 3 to 1.

http://www.ncsl.org/programs/health/drugaid.htm

http://www.tcsg.org/tobacco/settlement/1999highlights.htm

"The tobacco settlement provided a windfall that some states have used to dedicate to pharmaceutical assistance. Most state actions are not connected to the federal Medicare debate."Cauchi said 28 states have passed some type of senior pharmaceutical assistance law. Many have multiple programs, such as Maine, which has up to six programs."

I'm going to put my second point in the next response.

Regarding "drugged civil obedience", I don't doubt that something similar to that is going on. It's also manifesting itself in other ways.

In case you don't know, there are some conspiracy theories that have gained some popularity recently. They are all related in some ways and involve a 9/11 conspiracy, the Federal Reserve and sometimes secret societies like Illuminati and Free Masons.

Personally, I don't believe in the conclusions of any these conspiracy theories.

One conspiracy theorist named David Icke is actually very popular--he thinks that the world is ruled by shape shifting reptiles disguised as world leaders. So much for that.

So, I remain convinced that 9/11/01 was what I thought it was on 9/11/01. Oswald shot Kennedy. Though the Federal Reserve system may reflect a poor and possibly dangerous policy, I don't think that it's a plot for shape-shifting lizards to take over the world.

However, I find these conspiracy theories fascinating for a few reasons. First, though the conclusions reached are built on a house of cards, some of the cards are actually very interesting. In other words, in order to maintain the conspiracy theory, the purveyors gather up some very interesting information that you've never heard before from history, physics, quantum physics, economics, psychology, metaphysics. These people have scoured the earth for information to fit their hypothesis.

Also, these people may be wrong, but they're running on a parallel track to an idea that isn't wrong, I think. If nothing else, their popularity reflects the idea that people think something smelly is going on, and something is. The problem, though, is that the temptation is to point fingers at people and accuse them of being involved in outlandish, nefarious plots.

People are, of course, playing their parts and there are fingers to be pointed, but in reality it's just people making the same dumb mistakes they've made before for the same dumb reasons.

History is simply repeating itself, though a bit differently. I think Orwell's writing is the best reflection, for practical purposes, of what is happening to the world now. I've always taken Orwell's main theme to be this: Governments, even when they start with the best of intentions, will oppress human freedom and individuality over time.

We really shouldn't be shocked that people accept and defend ideas that are offensive to freedom.
Why? Because this has always been the tendency throughout all of history and all of the world. Even in America, society at large has only recently come to accept blacks as equals. Oppressive ideas killed more people in the 20th century than any consumer product did. Conspiracy theories are always on the lookout for someone behind the curtain wearing a black hat and twirling their moustache. In truth, when you pull that curtain back you only find your neighbor, your co-worker, or even yourself, running the controls. George W. Bush and Nancy Pelosi aren't in power because of some scheme; they're in power because people put them in those positions.

So, we're all lined up now for some serious ugliness. If we have another attack like 9/11 relatively soon, you may as well call the ballgame. Public Health and Public safety are going to schizo and there's no way we're coming back. Big Pharma will become Bigger Pharma. Anti-smoking will likely become something akin to heroin possesion, but cigarettes will still be available in every convenience store.

Enjoy your cheeseburgers while you have them. No one thinks this will happen, but I promise you that you're going to see some heavy duty anti-meat campaigns, including TV commercials depicting animals being killed in slaughterhouses (they couldn't be less gruesome than some anti-smoking ads). It will be very easy to make people anti-meat once you give them a good televised dose of what goes into producing it and preach to death the supposed health hazards. PETA already comes to your child's school and preaches their "meat is murder" ideology without even a permission slip coming home to Mom and Dad. PETA could have talked to your kid today and you may not know.

Thanks to a benign and inviting ad campaign, people will soon be lining up to have chips implanted in them. It prevents the "identity theft" we've all been so well trained to fear and why be bothered carrying around 20 different cards? Mastercard, Visa, your state and federal government, and Big Pharma will all love the idea. You'll pay for your dinner with a scan of your arm, but there will be taxes attached according to your individual "problem". Of course, there's the safety advantages and since no one will have the freedom of cash anymore, you won't get very far without being easily tracked if you commit a crime.

I found out about these chips via these conspiracy theories, and though I don't agree with the conspiracies themselves, these chips are very dangerous.

Think I'm kidding about these chips? Watch:

Winston, this is really scary stuff. I hope I don't live to have a chip implanted on my body. I'm pretty sure I would be fighting against it. But you know most people will follow like sheep, just like they do for smoking bans.
