"Former Tobacco Lobbyist Turned Governor Kills Statewide Anti-Smoking Program"

link:

http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2006/12/former_tobacco_.html

Of course, they have to say "former tobacco lobbyist" in the title. Gotta make it sound bad, you know.

IMHO, this is PRICELESS.

The only thing I know Barbour did before, was to ditch a grocery tax, and impose it on smokes instead.

Here's a little atonement for that deed.

I enjoyed reading this article a great deal, and I will read it again for plain amusement and entertainment. What I find extraordinarly amazing is why don't these people so worried about kids smoking worry about all the drugs being forced on teens? The federal government literally had to pass the Child Medication Safety Act over schools forcing and coercing thier drug beliefs onto parents and students.

The federal government also passed legislation to insure every child is evaluated as to their mental health and required that they be treated.

Bruce,

I know and it's just very incredible, because the average parent especially has no concept that CPS can come and take a child away if a parent refuses to drug them. No matter what passes or doesn't pass I'll never believe it's for the children. Poor children are being used as drug experiments in the schools and in foster care.

You know if they were not forcing/coercing all these drugs on toddlers, young school children and teens I may not be bothered like I am right now.

I'm glad the antis lost this funding.
