I can't believe the tax hike for cigarettes has actually passed in CT. That means, that as of April 1, a carton of premium cigarettes will jump from $37 to $43 a carton. It's disgusting. For the first time, a little over a month ago, I bought cigs online. Then, earlier this week, I saw an article in the local newspaper saying that the State of Connecticut is going to go after people who buy cigs on the internet. Now I feel stuck paying this tax for fear the state will come after me. Just makes my blood boil!

Pam, find your native american friends. They're out there. And they don't report zip to anyone.

OR start making your own, Pam. Many of us do and the joy of thumbing your nose at the greedy and corrupt politicians is incredible. If you're interested, just say so. ($8/ctn, hehehe.)

Absolutely right! I am making up a batch right now for the week. A carton for a little under $8.00! Unbelieveable!

Been saving a LOT of money since last June. It's been a real find! Smile

Red: How the hell do you get the filters on? You certainly don't smoke cigs without a filter, do you? I started on winstons, never smoked a non-filtered brand. Tried one once, and it knocked me on my ass. By th' way-an aside there-remember WHO put filters on cigarettes-the tobacco companies-and WITHOUT a government mandate to do it. No one ever mentions that.

Dave! Which "red" are you talking to? hehe!

You can buy a box of filtered tubes, that fits on the machine, which fills the tube with tobacco, firmly packed. It's wonderful!

$1.99 for a box of 200! Can't beat it with a stick!

Sheesh, Dave, I've been smokin' non- filters for 42 years. The only ones to knock me on my a$$ were from New Orleans, they were called Picayune, I think. Not sure what was in them (alligator doo doo?), but they were a whole lot stronger than my Luckies. Now I'm rolling my own non-filters, piece of cake.
