She's scheduled to appear on ABC-TV World News Tonight this Sunday (tomorrow) at 6:30 p.m. EST. It pertains to NYC's tax hike that takes effect on Monday.

For those of you who've already seen Audrey on TV, you know she's one of the best when it comes to media appearances.

Well I watched the report Martha. Sadly they gave Audrey a one liner as they did the older gentleman who said "this is taxation without representation."

It still amazes me that people don't put two and two together in that there is something seriously wrong with the rational 'the state needs the money but they want smokers to quit.' This is a classic case of biting off the hand that feeds you. In reality, they don't want smokers to quit, this is just a pat excuse they know the public has swallowed in the past to justify this extortion.

The two men who gleefully resigned themselves to quitting also upset me. They should have been pissed but instead acted like sheep who will gladly forfeit their rights to the state. They accept as the norm the dictatorship of elected officials.

There is one good blunder that came out of the report. A free nationwide advertisement for cigarettes sold over the web. They claim something like only 10% of all smokers take advantage of this, but you can bet at $7.00 a pack, more smokers will check it out.
