We started making our own cigarettes 22 Jun 01, after Maine upped the cigarette tax again. I paid a little over $40 for one carton of More Menthols. Ralph smoked the cheapest....Doral.

Maine cigarette tax is supposed to go up again, on the 1st of October.

While out shopping this morning, all new cigarette price charts are up. Dorals, going from $2.89 a pack, are now up to $3.29 a pack!!!!

I shudder to think how much the More's would have cost me today.

Here's my question: 1 October was the target date to raise the taxes on cigarettes in Maine. So, what is THIS? And, are they going to increase again after the 1st of October? Who's trying to blind who here. Lots of questions and no answers.
