Well, group! I finally did it! I am now a self proclaimed STUFFER! LOL! We went to a local Smoke Shop in town yesterday (God knows why THEY haven't been shut down), but went in and came out with a 6 oz bag of menthol tobacco, a box of tubes and an injector. (Didn't want to stock up in case I didn't like it). I started learning how to STUFF those tubes, and I LOVE THAT TOBACCO SO MUCH! I couldn't believe it! Ralph will no longer have to pay $40 dollars plus all that tax for my More's, cause I love this menthol tobacco and there are no additives. And the satisfaction of not paying the State all that money gives me the biggest thrill of my life! hehe! Plus, I sure love to STUFF those TUBES! It's "habit-forming!" LOL! Send me your tubes, and I will stuff them for you! haha PS: Total cost for the above items was $13 dollars and with the surcharge, it came to $16 dollars and some change. Quite cheap for a carton, wouldn't you say? And that injector is just a one time charge, unless it breaks....I'm sending Ralph back there tomorrow. I'm running out of tubes.

The menthol tobacco is just as good if not better to me, Martha! I mean it! The only thing is, the tubes are king size, and not long like the More's. But, even though they aren't as long, they seem to "last" as long. If you know what I mean.....I can smoke a More for 10 minutes, and these cigarettes I make can last about 10 minutes also. Something about the tobacco, I think. I was really surprised, because I have smoked More's for years and nothing could ever compare. But now, I don't see paying $40 some dollars for a carton of More's anymore. Not when I can smoke these and guess how many cartons I can get out of these "stuffers" for $40??? It's a wonderful savings, PLUS, the State isn't getting that money. Gotta love it! I can't wait for the day when they bring out longer tubes. That will be wonderful!! If anyone knows where I can find longer tubes, please let me know!

Because of the peripheral benefits (money, thumbing your nose at the antis, money, better tobacco, money, no additives, money...) Martha, we call them "S'Mores"!
Darlene, GOOD FOR YOU!! Proud of you, girl!

Spinner, it's a knack to put out a good solid cigarette, and I am still learning. But it's a lot of fun! This tobacco is really really good. I just wish I could find l o n g e r tubes! Like a FOOT! hehe But I sure am happy I made this move. It's probably not for everyone, and I think it's a lot of "mental attitude" also, knowing that our money isn't going into the State funds anymore! There is always another way to skin a cat, right?

One more reason I am so thankful to have found the new art of "stuffing and making my own cigarettes." It's in our Bangor Daily News this morning:
A 26-cent increase in the cigarette tax beginning in October should raise about $37 million over the two-year budget cycle.
No matter how many legislators I contacted, they still went ahead and voted for this tax increase. Is Maine a glutton or what? The Governor has $30 million stuffed away for laptops for all the kids. And the AMA and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grants (feeding) money into Maine, well, where IS all this money going??? No wonder Maine is on the good side of the SmokeLess Tobacco States! They raised cigarette taxes AGAIN!
I am so very thankful for this cheap alternative of making my own cigarettes, that I am on my knees every night thanking God for bringing me here, and for a whole new world Speak Easy has opened for me!
26 cents a pack. Can you imagine? When More's cost over $4.00 a pack now in this state! ~whew.....
