More people will not vote than will vote for either candidate; so, who cares?

We see that about 3 out of 10 of the eligible citizens did not even register to vote!!

36% of voting-age citizens did not vote and this is more people than voted for either candidate. They had about 32.5% and 31.5%.

Turnout for the November
2004 Election
In the presidential election of November 2004, the 64 percent of voting-age citizens
who voted was higher than the 60 percent who turned out in 2000.

higher than the 70 percent registered in the 2000 election.
