The 12-year-old boy who died after riding a Walt Disney World roller coaster had a congenital heart defect, a medical examiner determined Friday.
The autopsy of Michael Russell was done one day after he passed out while riding Disney-MGM's Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. He was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of death was natural, ruled Dr. Jan C. Garavaglia, Orange County's chief medical examiner. link I propose we ban roller coasters. If I had thought of this just a week earlier we MAY have saved the life of a child. I'm not making fun of this situation, but if SHS is to be banned because some person MAY have a heart problem so bad that secondhand smoke MAY kill him then MAYbe we should broaden our view to include roller coasters. (No, I'm not serious) |

I guess we should be happy he didn't die while walking past an active smoker.
It is a wonder that a 12 year old who can afford admission to a theme park and six years of school physicals had not been diagnosed with the problem. How many children from Afganistan have been rushed to our medical centers with similiar problems and treated. How did this child's condition get missed? |

Why not! Maybe we should jump on the "ban"wagon to ban every freakin' thing we can think of that MIGHT POSSIBLY cause harm to anyone, especially children. Then MAYBE the stupid little antis would get the point. I'm only half-serious. ------------------------ Jump on the "ban" wagon--ban the scummy little antis! |
