That are like me. It's hard to find moms who have the same interests. I am a mom of 2 children, Michael who is 4 and Mary who is 22 months. I am currently expecting my third child. I am a Byzantine Catholic, and I do smoke.
Looking for a mom of young children, of like religious background, and one that smokes to chat with. I don't want to be ridiculed for smoking and I hate feeling like I have to hide it all the time. Both myself and my husband smoke, my parents smoke. I grew up with it, and my mother (who has 5 children) did not do us any harm by smoking. My hubby's dad and step-mom do not smoke and we hear it all the time from them. My hubby's mom smoked while he and his brother grew up, and they are fine too. Heather |

Your first problem is trying to find a mother who is free during the work day.
My mother met her best friend in the hospitol waiting for me to be born in 1946. I would suggest you take your children to the park to play during the day. You may meet other mother or nannys. Church groups like sunday school classes. The waiting rooms of you children's doctor or thru him or her. Just take the kids out for a walk thru the neighborhood during the work day. This can bring out grandmothers who are a wealth of information for a stranger in town. Grocery shopping during the day or walking the mall. Have your husband keep an eye out at work for others with children and a wife who works at home. Cruse the school grounds before classes let out looking for mothers with children in the car or at their feet. Talk to your priest about families in the parish he is aware of. Look for harried mothers while at mass. Hang out in the crying room at church. |
