I'm seeing it more too...
I worry about this, this niche-market will be front and center very quickly in the eyes of the taxman. Hopefully this will take a few years, they will need to go after Cigars and Pipes at the same level and those industries have pull in the government - especially the Cigar Sector. Time to GYO. |

I know there's antis grumbling about it. Their best friends are politicians who like taxes even more. I don't think it'll be long. |

I haven't saw any at the gas station, but Circle K has had some Top stuff around here for a long time now.

Around here (MD), CVS carries some RYO and Rite-Aid carries papers. The gas stations sometimes carry rolling machines.
I too worry about the future taxes. In addition to GYO, I've been thinking about stockpiling. Anyone know how long tobacco in a can lasts? Keeps its freshness, I mean? |

I had a discussion on that over at the smokers club with a poster there that's a pipe smoker. Apparently, if the container is air tight, cured/dried tobacco can last for years. Air tight is the key though, I smoke AS tobacco, it's in a metal canister but has a foil/plastic top and a plastic lid- apparently this will not last past 6 months or so for freshness. Plastic bags are the same. It was posted that it needs to be air tight in glass jars with metal lids [etc] to last. Or if you can find tins of tobacco that need to be opened with a can opener or flip top. Air - moisture and dry are the culprits to keeping them for any length of time. Cigars can last for decades, people still smoke pre-Castro cigars. As long as they are held in the right atmosphere they are good and will age like fine wine apparently. I do wonder about those food-lock systems - they say they suck out all the air - could work? |

Mason jars are airtight.
Never tried it with tobacco, though. ---------------------- BAN THE BANNERS!!! |
