"The Trump Tower is now part of the Las Vegas skyline. And now we know when it will open to the public.

The 64-story condo-hotel is different than any other mega property on the Strip. There's no casino and the entire building is 100 percent non-smoking.

Opening day is set for next month. The official name of the property is the Trump International Hotel and Tower Las Vegas. Opening day will be March 31. But many of the condo owners will be able to move in even earlier.

There's nothing low-key about Donald Trump or his first big project in Las Vegas. "When it's finished, it will be the tallest luxury building in Las Vegas and contain 2-million square feet of high-end elegance," Trump said.

It was more than three years ago when the design of the tower was unveiled on national television during the finale of the first season of The Apprentice. Since then, Donald Trump's fame has only gotten bigger and so too have his plans for Las Vegas. From his promotional video, you can see a second tower now in the works.

Each of the units will have individual owners who will begin moving in next month. But the vast majority of those owners will not actually live there. Instead they will have their residences rented out as hotel rooms.

Trump's people say the level of customer service will be extraordinary and achieving that perfection will involve carefully tracking the likes and dislikes of each guest . Even to the point of stocking their favorite foods in the kitchen.

Despite not having a casino we're told that outside customers will be welcome to visit the tower, dine at the restaurant or go to the spa. And for a night at the Trump Tower hotel rates begin at $239 per night."
