There were about 1,400 people killed in auto accidents in Illinois last year. About 500(37%) were second hand deaths;that is, some one else was driving the car.
Gary K. Fact vs Make Believe Fact Fact: Each of the about 500 non-driving people killed in illinois 2007 in auto accidents were duly reported in newspapers and on TV. If you wished, with little effort, you could look-up their names and home towns. If you wished, you could find the names and hometowns of everyone that has died in an auto accident over the last 100 years or so!! Make Believe: Antis claim that about 2,900 deaths in Illinois each year are "caused" by SHS. This is 29,000 over the last ten years!! Fact: If these deaths were real and provable, the ACS,ALA,AHA,and CFTFK would send out press releases on each and every one of them and newspapers and TV would happily report the names and hometowns of the deceased. Fact: Nowhere do you see or hear of the names of the so-called deaths "caused" by SHS. You would think that a couple of them would have shown up in the news! In fact, they can not be proven to exist!! http://www.car-accidents.com/pages/fatal-accident-statistics.html Fatal Vehicle Crashes 2005 Fatality Totals: Drivers=27,472 Passengers=10,036 Other=86 Sub-total=37,594 Non-Motorists Killed Pedestrians=4,881 Bicyclists=784 Other= 184 Total Killed=43,443 There were 15,971 non-driving people killed in 2005 in auto accidents. You could call these second hand auto accident deaths. This is about 37% of the total deaths. |

I've been trying to tell the antis this since 1993. They cannot be proven to exist because they DON'T exist. |
