OK gang....here's another one for your "if it wasn't so ridiculous it would be funny" files:

My mother is the administrative manager for a large and powerful lawfirm here on Long Island. She called me today to tell me that she has been having a little "problem" with some of her employees. Seems that a few of the secretaries have refused to put their coats in the office coat closet and have taken to hanging them on the backs of their chairs, on the corners of their cubbyholes (oops, I mean "cubicles"), and even over their computer terminals. The reason? They say they don't want to hang their coats in the same closet with the smokers' coats because smokers' coats "stink." Soooo.....now my mother has had to have a NEW closet built to accommodate these pantywaist crybabies so the coats can be properly segregated. Of course, given the fact that construction costs on Long Island are such that one must put up one's firstborn as collateral (yes, even for something as simple as a closet), she has informed these people that when it is budget time, she doesn't want to hear ANY of them say the words, "How come I didn't get a bigger raise this year?" The people who didn't complain are understandably irritated. Good for Mommy. I hope she sticks it to 'em bigtime.

Regards,
Jenny
