You know what? I really hope that marijuana fights cancer. If it does, I think that's great.

I don't use marijuana, but I support its legalization. I don't know that we'll see that happen any time soon, but let me make a prediction.

If marijuana is legalized and successful Capitalist ventures rise up around its sale, you will see the very same people who cried out for marijuana's legalization suddenly screaming for it to be banned everywhere.

That theory is pure horseshit. Smoke is smoke is smoke, and one is no more harmful or beneficial than another. The vast majority of the very same people who are dopers are rabid smoker-haters and want tobacco outlawed.

As usual they propose a pill probably costing multiple times what the natural product costs.

You're exactly right Winston. I've often said that if tobacco were illegal, used predominantly by poor people of color, and the government were spending billions to wipe out tobacco crops and arm guerilla groups in 3rd world countries, the left would embrace it.
