I watched Nancy Grace's TV show tonight. They were showing a video of an 18 month old child being forced to smoke marijuana.

Grace asked some kind of medical field guy what the long-term effects that would have on this kid. The guy answered, little to none.

Grace got visibly upset and said (I'm paraphrasing here), "I BEG your pardon! Before I left the hospital with my twins I was told not to even come into contact with a smoker."

Someone had mentioned SIDS just prior to this and what Grace was saying was that just the mere presence of a tobacco smoker, without even smoking at the time, could kill her kids with SIDS.

The crap people are told and the crap they swallow is just unbelievable.

I can't stand that arrogant bitch. About as bad as Gloria Allred, Laura Ingraham, or the hens on THE VIEW. All their voices are like nails on a blackboard.

I found the transcript. I got it a little bit wrong. Note the doctor giving into her afterwards:

GRACE: What about bunch of pervs. That`s all I can say.

And out to you, Dr. David Posey, medical examiner and forensic pathologist, he`s with the Glen Oaks Pathology Medical Group there in L.A. Dr. Posey, what effect could this have on a baby 18 months old?

DR. DAVID POSEY, MEDICAL EXAMINER, FORENSIC PATHOLOGIST, GLEN OAKS PATHOLOGY: Well, Nancy, if it`s just a one-time occurrence probably little or none, with out the (INAUDIBLE) effect of the first tip anybody would take with marijuana. A little bit of sleepiness, the child may get hungry and so forth. But if it`s a prolonged chronic usage of the marijuana, then there`s going to be some problems, you know, potential.

GRACE: You know, Dr. Posey, I`ve got a problem with what you`re saying because before I brought the twins home from the hospital, they told me that I couldn`t even let them come in contact with people that smell like smoke because the smell of smoke has definitely been linked to SIDS. And that`s just a cigarette, much less smoking from a pot pipe.

POSEY: Well, you`re dealing with apples and oranges here. You`re dealing with newborn children. That`s true. You`re dealing with an 18- month-old versus a newborn. You`re right, Nancy, that`s correct. However, what I was going to say is let`s say this little 18-month-old was exposed over and over and over again, so you have chronic exposure. Then you`re going to have problems with mental development, coordination, possible tantrums and other such developmental things.

And you`re correct. You just don`t want to expose children to any kind of drugs, cigarette smoke, be it whatever. And it`s just not good for the kids at all.

Edited to add that the inaudible part in the transcript was where she tried butting in the second she heard what she didn't want to hear.

So even If I SMELL like smoke, I could give a baby SIDS? THAT must explain the crib deaths before tobacco's existence was known! After all, people heated their homes with firewood. Now I get it....... Roll Eyes

But of course. "I am become death, the destroyer of worlds."

And who can forget this one:

"Even if an adult caregiver makes an effort not to smoke around an infant, the secretions from the adult's skin still may pose a risk of SIDS for the child."

My god, what an idiot. That's like saying that if I eat a pepperoni pizza and rub up against someone afterward, they will gain weight and/or get clogged arteries via the pizza grease absorbed through my skin!

Nancy Grace now there is some real pollution! I caught a few minutes of her show last week. They were covering the Texas State kidnappings at the polygomist compounds. She did a tease on the 473 kids that were seized. Stating that over 40 (less than 10%) of them showed signs of having broken bones infering that they were abused. It turns out the average percentage of kids in this age group usually come in at around 20%. More MSM doublespeak and half truths. They also aledge many of these kids were forced into hard labor in the fields. The familly farmers better pay attention they may be coming for their kids next. This woman is a joke but just imagine how many people fall for this BS.

If you're fed-up with government intrusion into our private lives (alcohol, tobacco, weight or so-called obesity, etc.) especially the nonsense and destruction surrounding smoking bans, then discuss/fight smoking bans at the FORCES tavern or go directly to their FORCES homepage. A UK-based group (forcing a Judicial Review of the English smoking ban) is Freedom to Choose, with another great forum for chatting and organizing here.

I know it's really wrong to judge people based on the way they look (it really is), but I have to admit that when I hear guys talking about their ex-wives after a beer or two, the abstract woman I picture in my mind looks like Nancy Grace. I don't know why and I can't help it.

Barack Obama, last night in Portland, on Iran: "They don't pose a serious threat to us."

Barack Obama, today, in Billings, Montana, on Iran: "I've made it clear for years that the threat from Iran is grave."

She would be a good VP for Obama.
She stretches the truth and he lies, a great pair!! Roll Eyes

Saw Nancy Grace again tonight mention smoking and SIDS.

She said a guy came to her Christmas party and smelled like smoke and she said, "No, uh uh," and motioned to him to get out of her house. (To protect her children from getting SIDS she said)

And to think she used to be a prosecutor. I wonder how many innocent people ended up in prison with that non-thinking brain sifting through evidence.

Ah. Let's enjoy some of Nancy Grace's worst TV moments.

Here's one of Nancy's producers getting tired of her nonsense.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_QaHr7-khw

Here's some guy just calling to tell her she's a bitch.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q51UZvGrRks

Here's Elizabeth Smart getting fed up with Nancy's crap.

Also, check out Wikipedia on a wrongful death suit that's been filed by the family of Melinda Duckett, her one-sided and completely wrong commentary on the Duke Lacrosse case, and her accusations against the wrong guy in the Elizabeth Smart case.
