This includes cervical cancer - which is a little known fact. So your wife is not being unreasonable in feeling that she doesn't want her vulva and vagina to come into contact with a mouth that could well contain carcinogens. Sorry.
Um , its a well known fact that HPV causes cervical cancer. The only bigger moron than this woman is the doctor answering the question. Hope this post hasn't offended anyone!

Talk about not only unsubstantiated fear, but blowing things way out of proportion. There's "carcinogens" in everybody's mouth when you get down to it. Air pollution, from food, water...
This reminds me of the authors of a cervical cancer study trying to defend their findings to detractors who said there was no biologic plausibility (from smoking or SHS, one of them). They threw out the idea that smoker's fingers inserted into women's vaginas might be the cause of the increased risk they found.
They also said, that even if their study was total BS, it might get people to quit smoking.
