A couple of months ago a friend of my son came into the office to do some paper work. Everthing seemed fine until he suddenly fell to the floor in convultions.

They took him to the hospital by ambulance and after a few hours figured out what had caused it. Nicotine poisioning. He had decided to quit smoking and was using the patch, but the dose that he was receiving was too high for his body weight (he is a small man) - something that is not mentioned on the packages or in the ads. They gauge dosage by number of cigarettes smoked daily.

So if you know of anyone thinking of using this system it might be wise to check with a doctor first. You know the Pharmacutical companies won't want this to become common knowledge so they won't tell the public -- just as they don't inform you that one of the side effects could be death.

It was probably his doctor that told him to quit and advised using the patches.

Do not totally trust your doctor to know or do what is good for you.

ANNUAL PHYSICAL AND ECONOMIC COST OF MEDICAL INTERVENTION

Condition Deaths
Adverse Drug Reactions 106,000

Medical error 98,000

Unnecessary Procedures 37,136

Surgery-Related 32,000

TOTAL 273,136

This is 4.5 times the number(claimed and guessed at) of deaths from SHS. So;which is more dangerous,SHS or the health system???

Hey Connie - this is the type of news that you should forward to FORCES International. I'm sure they would love to report it. Also - I'm surprised (NOT!) that the news media hasn't picked up on this story!

And Gary - excellent comment! Thanks to both of you!
