Antis claim that smoking causes LCDs.

It all depends upon whether you are male or female and which state you live in.

Here is a link to a site that shows the state by state LCD rates on a map. I do not know how to post pictures and would greatly appreciate it,if someone could post the maps for male and female death rates from Lung Cancer. Crying

Hint; ladies, stay away from the coast!
Eek

gkayer:

How to post picture

Right click on picture

click on properties

in the box that comes up, there will be a web address for the picture, highlight the address, right click and click copy, then cancel that window.

On the post window, click on the box that has a green picture in it, a little window will come up, paste the copied url into that little window, and click ok.

I remember seeing a study from Japan a fews years back that found lung cancer rates were higher along the coast.

Thank you very much LadyTeal!! Smile

If M'Lady enjoys Champagne and does not wish to spend a lot of money,I would suggest the wine from a vineyard in So.Calif called "Barefoot Vineyards".

Their 'Barefoot Bubbly' is about 1/3 the price of 'Mumm's' and is just as tasty. Eek

Okay -- I'm a woman who is glancing out at the Atlantic ocean while I type these words. I must say, I'm not all that fond of the looks of that map!

Anyone got any ideas about why the LC risk for we coastal women should be so high? I invite all hypotheses.

This is just a hunch; have you noticed the nasty corrosive effect of the sea on the metal fittings on a boat? Frown

Perhaps it does the same thing to your lungs. Eek

True -- anything electronic or mechanical lasts about 1/2 as long around here as expected (*noting rusty refrigerator -- rust not covered under warranty*). Salt, dampness, oxidation... okay...

But ya know... another hazard of living here is mold.

Hmmm... mold.
